b at Alcester, Warwickshire 1798. Educ Harrow, 1814-17, Christ Church College, Oxford, BA 1822, MA 1835. Took Holy Orders and became Rector of Little Bookham Surrey in 1823, continuing as such until his death. He succeeded to the estate of Little Bookham on the death of his maternal grandfather, and by Royal Letters of 1821 was authorised to use the additional surname of Pollen, thus becoming Boileau-Pollen. M 1824, Elizabeth Primrose, dau of Sir James Gall, Bart., of Dunglass, Scotland. She d 1873, having had issue : 2 sons and 2 daus : John Douglas, Charles Edward, Georgina and Elizabeth.
George had several apoplectic seizures in 1847 and died that year. John Peter iv found that his affairs were better than he had expected, and says he thought Elizabeth good but strange. There are inscribed monuments for them both at Little Bookham Church where there are also a number of other inscriptions of Boileau connections.
