Notes for John Hardreshall
of Hardreshall, in county Warwick. Knight.
The 1592 Visitation of Kent reads:
“Sir John de Hardishull of ...... in the Countie of Warwicke, Knight, maried to his firste wiffe Mawde Daughter of .... and by her had issue William de Hardishull Died sans issue Johan eldist Daughter and one of theires maried to Sr James Burforde knight, whoe had issue John [sic] his onlye Daughter and heire, Elizabeth Hardishull seconde Daughter and one of theires of Sr John maried to John Coulpper of .... in the Countie of Kent Esquire, Margaret thirde Daughter and one of theires maried to Sr John Talbott knight who had issue John Talbott who Died without issue. Note also that the aboue named Johan who was the Daughter and sole heire of James Burforde knighte was maried to one Garton a Mercer of London, who had issue John Garton that Died also sans issue, werevppon the hole inheritance of the three Daughters and coheires Dide After wardes descende vnto Sr Thomas Colpepper knighte as Sonne and heire to the saide Elizabeth. After the saide Sr John maried to his second wiffe Dame Margarett by whome he had no issue, vt pate[t]ex scriptis Colpeperij.”
Not quite sure what to make of all that.
