Of Biddenden. There are a few Giles, and at least one Searles Giles, in the Biddenden MIs
749, but the identification with any particular one is not certain.
Almost certainly this one (which I shall assume to be the case):
29 (Altar) North side: Mary wife of Searles GILES of this parish, Gent. died ye 14th September 1760 aged 44 leaving issue three daughters, Mary, Jane and Ann. South side: Searles Giles died 22nd April 1777 aged 71. West end: Arms- a Griffin stataont, impaling on a chevron three fleur de lys. Crest a seahorse (?) sejeant.
Note that the Tenterden MIs
103 say that there were three daughters and co-heiresses (i.e., that Jane had two sisters, just as shown in this MI).
