William and Ovid Norgrove (1853)

This was sent to me by Marion Dempsey, who got it from Maud Mead (Dempsey). Maud wrote "This is a daguerrotype of my Great Grandfather William Norgrove and his eldest son (who died a year or two later). It was taken in Sydney in 1853 while they were on a visit there." Ovid died at the age of 18, on 19 August 1858, so five years after this photo was taken.
