Sir Maurice Boileau

Sir Maurice Boileau with Lady Margaret and Lady Lucy. Nobody seems to know who the ladies are. I certainly don't, and neither does Eric Breuzet, who sent me the picture. Then, in September 2008, Mary Parker, the churchwarden of Ketteringham, sent me the following information. "I was pleased to see the photograph of Sir Maurice Boileau. He died in 1937, a bachelor, but was much liked and still remembered by the older villagers. The older lady on the right is his mother Lady Lucy Boileau (died 1925), wife of Sir Francis (died 1900). The lady on the left is Dr Margaret Boileau, his (only) unmarried sister. She died in 1923 and was a remarkable lady. I have not seen this particular photograph before, but have seen many like it. They are sitting on a seat at Ketteringham Hall."
